Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

REDIUNP follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies them to all parties in the publishing process: editors, reviewers, authors, and the publishing institution.

Duties of Editors

  • Editors decide which submissions are published based on academic quality, originality, and relevance to the STEM fields, without discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or author affiliation.
  • Manuscripts are assessed on their intellectual content, and a double-blind review process is guaranteed.
  • Editors keep all submitted material confidential and do not use it for their own purposes without the author's written consent.
  • Editors manage conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from manuscripts in which they have a competing interest.
  • Editors act on complaints of misconduct and issue corrections or retractions when warranted.

Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers support the editorial decision and help improve the manuscript.
  • Reviews are objective and observations are clearly substantiated.
  • Reviewers treat the manuscript as confidential material.
  • Reviewers declare conflicts of interest and decline to review when one exists.
  • Reviewers identify relevant published work not cited and any similarity with other works.
  • Reviewers meet deadlines or notify the editors if unable to do so.

Duties of Authors

  • Authors submit original, unpublished work with accurate data, free of fabrication or falsification.
  • Authors ensure the manuscript is not under simultaneous evaluation by another journal.
  • Authors cite all sources and obtain permission for third-party material.
  • Authorship is limited to those who made a genuine intellectual contribution and who approved the final version.
  • Authors disclose funding sources and conflicts of interest.
  • Authors notify the journal of any significant error found after publication and cooperate in correcting it.
  • Authors declare any use of generative artificial intelligence in accordance with the Decalogue for the ethical use of AI in scientific journals (CAICYT-CONICET).

Duties of the Publisher

  • The UNPSJB ensures that editorial decisions remain independent of commercial interests.
  • The publisher preserves the digital archive of published content and its open access.

Plagiarism Detection
All manuscripts are screened with Plagius software. Works containing full or partial plagiarism are rejected. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are treated as serious misconduct. Plagius - Detector de Plagio 2.6.11

Corrections and Retractions
The journal issues errata, corrections, or retractions in line with COPE guidelines when errors, misconduct, or unreliable content are detected. https://publicationethics.org

Statement on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence

REDIUNP follows international best practices on the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in scholarly publishing and adopts the Decalogue for the ethical use of AI in scientific and academic journals of CAICYT-CONICET.

Authors must declare any use of GenAI tools in preparing the manuscript, stating the tool, version, and purpose. GenAI cannot be listed as an author, as it cannot take responsibility for the content. Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the entire work, including any AI-assisted material.

Reviewers must not upload manuscripts or any part of them into GenAI tools, in order to preserve confidentiality, and must declare any use of GenAI in preparing their reports.

Editors keep submitted material confidential and do not process it in GenAI tools that do not guarantee data protection. The final editorial decision is always a human responsibility.
