The following contributions are accepted for publication.
1. Scientific articles
A genre of deep theoretical reflection on a given research topic, always within the thematic areas defined by the journal. The scientific article is the product of systematic, organized inquiry, grounded in theoretical and paradigmatic principles, involving a methodology and demonstrable results. It must be argumentative. Its structure must include an introduction, development, and closing or conclusion. Two categories are considered:
A. Research results. Scientific articles in which the authors report the final and conclusive results of fully completed studies and research. The publication is unpublished and must follow the guidelines for a scientific article. This should be stated in the text.
B. Research in progress. Scientific articles in which the authors report on ongoing research or studies in execution, presenting partial results that are sufficiently documented to be disseminated or published in the journal.
2. Argumentative essays
A genre in which the authors develop an idea tied to a reasoned, free reflection on their position regarding a topic. The topic varies according to the authors' interest and must always fall within the fields of knowledge defined by the journal. It must have the precision and clarity that an argumentative text requires, drawing on the resources of academic language. It must include citations, which serve to demonstrate the connection between the ideas developed and act as a criterion of validity and legitimacy for the authors' ideas. It generally moves from the general to the particular, aiding the reader's comprehension. The purpose of the argumentative essay is to convey what is known about a topic and how it is argued in theory, philosophy, and educational practice. It has an objective character; that is, the authors' personal viewpoint must be substantiated. The essay lets the reader into the authors' world, showing how they confront certain realities, their theoretical, epistemological, and paradigmatic tendencies, and even what they oppose. Through argumentative essays, authors discuss the topic and share their thinking in an organized, objective manner.
3. Systematization of innovative educational experiences
A text on actions resulting from action research, collaborative educational experiences, or planned actions in socio-community contexts under a project model. The systematization is built on the authors' own knowledge and must meet the following conditions: present evidence that allows the experience to be reconstructed, organize the information, adopt a socio-critical and reflective view of the actions taken, present concretely the qualitative changes achieved in the applied context, the lessons learned from the experience, and the analysis and final considerations or conclusions.
4. Technological projects
The creation, modification, or adaptation of a specific product through the use of software, including its combination with other technological applications. The technological product is the result of the process and serves to meet a need, demand, or service within the educational context. Such needs are expressed through drawbacks, failures, or problems of any kind, so that the product is a specific solution generated by in-depth inquiry.
5. Book reviews
The examination of a work related to any of the journal's thematic areas, with the purpose of offering a descriptive commentary and a critical analysis of that work. The work reviewed must be a recent publication and fall within the fields of knowledge defined by the journal. The function of the review is orienting or informative and must never be confused with a summary or a report. It should highlight the author's background; state the subject of the work, its importance, orientation, or the approach taken; and note the style used. It must also point out strengths and weaknesses, or positive and negative aspects, and finally express clearly the contribution made by the reviewer.
6. Reports on academic and scientific events
Works in which the authors give an account of what took place at a particular scientific or academic event, or at several events related to a specific topic tied to the thematic areas of the journal, highlighting and analyzing the main conclusions, the general research trends, and the central theme of the event in question.
7. States of the art
Works in which the authors present and analyze, from a critical and reflective perspective, the most recent theoretical and methodological trends around a particular field of knowledge. The state of the art is a section of deep theoretical content; its interpretation must be contextualized, and the authors must develop their arguments in both practice and theory.
